Urania Soccer Edition Milan
This edition draws from a trove of Italian 1970s–80s soccer team uniforms, relics of local pride and material memory. Restaged as uniforms without a game, they are at once absurd and precise, suspended between sportswear and sculpture. Installed on the gallery floor, lying on tote bags designed by Fabio Quaranta Studio, the garments form a speculative team: placeless, playerless, improbably unified.
Each uniform is subtly imbued with a custom fragrance—an olfactory extension of the project. Developed with a professional nose and based on a handkerchief Quaranta had kept folded in a drawer, the scent has been applied to each garment. It’s a quiet act of reanimation, breathing personal memory into the collection. A gesture both intimate and conceptual, it links body and object, designer and archive, through scent — an invisible mark of presence.
